Poem - 'I wish I knew'

This is an older poem I had written when I went through a hard break up, which I am sure most people can relate to. Enjoy.

Times cant seem to ever slow down.
My heart is changing.
I'm face down on the ground.
My mind is re arranging.

When you are pushed so far
Then you realize
Who you truly are
I want to thank you
And for how much you tore me apart
I really do
Now I'm stronger and so is my heart.

I learned I do not need another person to make me happy
Don't worry
I'm not trying to be sappy.
I just wanted to say sorry.
For hating you as much as I do.
I'm sure you know this is true.
Seeing you around.
Not even saying a sound.
I know you noticed
How I look through you.

I won't fall back in your arms.
I won't do this to myself.
Don't be alarmed,
I still think about you now and then
I just need time to mend.

As the butterflies begin to die.
All the fire is put out.
I find out your love was a lie.
You don't care without a doubt.

The silver love you sold.
Was nothing compared to the gold.
I wish my sky didn't fall on me.
The clouds are all around my head.
This is where you lead
My heart,
from the start.
I wish I could have quit you.
I wish I knew you.

Poem - 'We All Fall'

I have a passion for all forms of art. Occasionally, the mood for writing will occur for me. Today that happened and this is what I produced. Enjoy.

Do you really deserve the best?
How hard do you really try?
Have you ever made another soul cry?
How many times have you told someone to die?
Did you ever break someones heart?
Have you ever silently watched someone fall apart?

Let the past be the past.
Grow and learn from it all.
At some point we all fall.

The grass is always greener on the other side.
Its always worse when it wasn't you who lied.
There' s always someone out there who has it worse.
What do you really deserve?
Really how bad is your life?

I mainly got inspiration for this from some people in my life. Who seem to think their worlds are falling apart from the smallest of things and need to learn to appreciate what they have more. I think everyone needs to take a step back and realize what they have right before their eyes and that it isn't so bad.
